ROBIN STAAL - Partner

Areas of Expertise: Corporate Law,Commercial Property Law

and Franchising

Robin Staal is the founding partner of the practice and is our most

senior partner. Robin qualified as a solicitor in 1982 and set up the

practice in early 1996 following many years as a partner in a London,

commercial practice. Robin is renowned for dealing with complex,

corporate and property transactions and for finding the solutions

to difficult issues that arise.

DAWN STAAL - Partner

Areas of Expertise: All aspects of commercial property, franchising

and commercial property litigation.  Also, residential property service requiring the personal touch.

Dawn qualified as a solicitor in 1992 and worked with Robin Staal

in his previous London practice. Dawn joined the practice as a partner only six months after its inception.

Dawn has a vast experience of dealing with large portfolios of properties including retail and hire businesses.  Dawn also has many years of experience in dealing all aspects of franchising transactions.

Dawn heads our property litigation department and is experienced in dilapidations claims, recovery of possession and tenant insolvency.

Dawn always enjoys a new challenge.

JEREMY SPOONER- Partner

Jeremy qualified as a solicitor in 1986 and has worked  in property

in either the London's West End or the City ever since. He acts for retailers and other occupiers of commercial property, commercial and

residential property investors, leisure operators and lenders. He also

enjoys residential conveyancing.

Jeremy is a member of the Investment Property Forum and allies his

wealth of impeccable legal expertise with approachability and a sensible practical and commercial approach.

Jeremy is also very experienced in dealing with all aspects of licensing.   

MILES GABRIEL - Associate

Miles trained with Staal & Staal and qualified in January 2008. 

Miles specialises in commercial property and is an integral part of our franchising and portfolio management team.  He is able to deal with commercial property matters and all aspects of franchising including franchise agreements, joint venture agreements and service agreements.

JOHN IRVING - Consultant

John is a former partner of the practice.  John has spent many years as head of in house counsel of a major corporation and has a wealth of experience in all aspects of corporate and commercial law.  John specialises in commercial contractual matters.

JACQUELINE KING - Consultant

Jackie has many years experience in all aspects of commercial property transactions.  She also has experience in company and commercial transactions. 

JANET LONG - Consultant

Janet has a very long association with the partners and practice.  Janet is able to advise on all aspects of commercial litigation and employment law.  Janet also has vast experience in dealing with insolvency matters.
